Cities and Seas Blog Site!

Welcome to the Journey

As we travel together, this space will serve as a shared journal of the road. Here you’ll find posts from Jeff, Spencer, Melissa, and our guests, each offering their own perspective and reflections along the way.

This blog is designed to capture moments from the journey—conversations, observations, and insights that emerge as we move from place to place. It’s not about a single point of view, but a collection of experiences that together tell the larger story.

We invite you to explore the posts as they’re shared and check back often as new entries are added throughout the trip.

You might be asking yourself… what’s with the yellow brick theme?

Simple answer: because it made us smile.

This site started coming together somewhere between coffee refills and ocean views on the 14th Deck of the MSC Divina. As we sketched ideas, clicked buttons, and said “what if we tried this…,” the idea of building something together kept coming up. One brick at a time. No rules. Just fun.

And then we found out MSC actually sells a brick-style cruise ship you can build yourself. At that point, the decision was basically made for us.

So the yellow bricks stuck. They’re a reminder that travel doesn’t have to be polished to be perfect, that some of the best ideas happen at sea, and that building something together—whether it’s an itinerary, a memory, or a website—should always be fun.

Welcome to the build.
